CRETA SUN Kelarakis SA. is a company that specializes in manufacturing Solar Systems and was founded in 1980. The company’s long-term evolution is based on the gradually advancing products that are being offered by using the latest innovating technology in the field.

In 1987, the company is relocated in new, modern, privately owned facilities in the Industrial Area (BI.ΠΕ) in Heraklion, Crete. In 1988, dealers were designated for the rest of the island of Crete in order to be of better service to the company’s customers.

In 1992, the company was renamed from General Partnership to Limit Liability Company (SA) due to the increased demanding of its services. The quality, the constant efforts for research and producing evolutionary products, have led to its original recognition in the island of Crete followed by the rest of Greece and the company has been exporting abroad since 2006.

In 2002, the company’s cooperation with the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos” (NCSR) and the step-by-step checking of every step in the production have resulted in the evolvement and optimization of the efficiency of the company’s products.

Since 2006, the company has developed and implemented Production and Marketing of Quality Management System of Solar Water Heaters which meets the requirements of ELOT EN ISO 9001:2000.
